Day 37 - Montezuma's Well

The well has served as a focal point for the development of extensive communities for a number of native American cultures.

It also is home to many unique flora and fauna.

The crazy path to well level.

The Team on the brink.

Russ on the brink.

The Team tackles the harrowing descent into the Well.

Russ descends.

Scout Ranger scouts.

"Tis a beauty spot.

The Ridgeline.

A garden like path leads to a section of dwellings.

A perfect spot to shelter.

Cave dwelling.

Cave dog.

Cliff dwellings. There are three - the third is pretty hard to find.

It is thought: the sentient pond scum in Montezuma's Well taught the local human inhabitants over many decades the secrets of manual transmissions, especially the mythical "double clutch".

The US Government really, really wants us out of here. There is that low thrumming sound again. We think it's the pond scum.

In this area, trees are poured into the landscape in yet another biological experiment from the Wildfire Lab. Nobody knows why it is necessary to have pourable trees.
